Empowering Women: October ’17 Spicy Woman of the Month!
SPICY WOMAN OF THE MONTH
Tiffany T. Huff-Strothers
Empowering women to be their best is our Inaugural Spicy Woman of the Month’s passion, and it is my honor to congratulate Tiffany T. Huff-Strothers with this recognition. Tiffany is a wife, mother, an author, the self-proclaimed Comeback Queen, Founder of the soul-nourishing, women’s empowerment movement, the Tiffany Huff Experience, which is inclusive of the life-changing Coffee & Clarity sessions, The Reinventing You podcast, The Write For Your Life MasterClass and When She Thrives. She is passionate about empowering women with the necessary tools to reinvent themselves during transitions from their worst setbacks to create major comebacks.
I had the pleasure of listening to her confidence building podcasts as well as speaking with her on the phone. Trust me when I tell you she is the TRUTH, but more importantly, she is a woman after God’s own heart! You can feel her passion for living, her family, and empowering women who participate in her programs through the phone line in her voice. She embodies what I envisioned a Spicy Woman to be and then some! Through her ministry, the Tiffany Huff Experience, she is reaching back and empowering women to find their voice, gain clarity, build or rebuild their confidence, and choose to live the life that God has in His plans for them. It would have been easy to allow the devil to steal her passion after being shot by her children’s father. But God! She summoned up the courage to tell her story to give other women hope while letting God use her to do His will.
Here’s a snippet of her story as shared in her book, 30 Day Stay: “Just when Tiffany mustered up the courage and strength to walk away from her first long-term relationship and begin a new life as a single mother of two young boys, her life was changed in an instant. One fateful night she found herself face-to-face with the barrel of a gun and when the trigger was pulled she fell to rock bottom – homeless, heartbroken and trying to find hope while healing from years of wounds that were now being exposed on the 11 o’clock news!”
I am truly grateful that she submitted her nomination to give Chic.Classy.Spicy. the privilege of sharing her inspirational journey to be #fearlessauthenticunapologetic and empowering women to do the same. As I always say, we never know who will be inspired by our story. I pray that Tiffany’s transparency on her website, in her book and or in the information shared below lights a fire under someone to begin the work to reinvent themselves or cause another to stop playing it safe & turn up the heat on their journey!
Instead of me telling you more, just grab your water, coffee, tea, or wine, get comfortable, & let’s get the tea on Tiffany. You down? Let’s do this!!!
Empowering Women: Tiffany’s Passion!
Q. What do you think is holding women back in the 21st century from being #fearlessauthenticunapologetic?
A. I think fear is what holds us back more than anything. Personally, fear has fueled doubt & procrastination and, more often than I’d like to admit, stagnation. Fear of failure and fear of success.
Q. What advice would you give them?
A. The best advice is to be self-aware because self-awareness is what will allow you to define success for yourself. It is what will position you to be authentic and embrace your truth in faith knowing you are a divine creation. Feel the fear and still keep pressing forward.
Q. What is the best advice you were given by another woman?
A. You’re a trailblazer, so blaze!
Q. Why do you think empowering women is important?
A. It is important because we don’t grow alone; we need each other. Sisterhood is self-care and self-care is a catalyst for success. Empowering women is every woman’s responsibility and every woman’s gift to the world!
Q. What is your greatest fear?
A. My greatest fear is not fulfilling my God designed destiny.
Q. What is your greatest accomplishment?
A. My greatest accomplishment is fully trusting God. Without having trusted Him none of my other accomplishments would be.
Q. What’s next for you?
A. The million dollar question! Lol, I am still growing into the woman God says I am, and so what is next is more of God’s will. I’d like to host retreats and share my story worldwide.
Q. Who was the 1st person to help you believe you were enough? How did that impact your life then? How does it impact your life now?
A. My Dad. He has always planted seeds of God’s truth in my heart, mind, and spirit. He always reminded me of the greatness I was destined for even when things were falling apart. In those moments he was always able to lift my spirits and support me to keep going. Today, now that He is no longer here, I cling to those truths and continue to take leaps of faith daily.
Q. Who is your mentor? Why did you choose her/him?
A. I honestly don’t have a mentor; the pursuit is still on. If you know someone please send her my way!
Empowering Women Is a 24-7 Commitment
Q. What is your favorite quote, scripture, or saying?
A. Scripture: Jeremiah 1:5 – “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” In other words, God is not gonna play you, but you might be playing yourself.
My favorite quote/poem is: “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” – Marianne Williamson
Q. Who motivates you?
A. My husband and my children…they think I’m a superstar!
