How To Wear The Pajama Trend
Hello beautiful ones! I pray that you’re doing exceedingly well!
Y’all know I love everything fashion, but I was not feeling the pajama trend. Actually, I posted a video stating that the closest I was getting to the pajama trend was a pair of pants I picked up at Ann Taylor. I mean, I’m a proper Southern Girl whose mama taught her to never go out with rollers in your hair, slippers on your feet, and – you guessed it – wearing your pajamas.
My mind was dead set against this trend especially if it really meant wearing my actual pajamas. Not my cup of tea; not gonna happen! But, I saw these cute pieces at Forever 21 and I was determined like a dog with a bone to make this trend work. They are not pajamas and that made all the difference in the world for me. I must say, as my boyfriend would say, I rocked it lol!
The look is great for date night or brunch with your squad. Or, throw on your favorite mules or wedges for a shopping trip. And, you can also pull this trend off in the work place by pairing tailored wide leg trousers with piping and a blazer or blouse with billowy sleeves. What was I thinking…this is a great outfit for the company picnic too!!! Thank me later doll!
Wanna rock the pajama trend too? Here are a four (4) tips to make it happen:
- Avoid fabrics such as cotton. They tend to make you look like you just got out of bed. Choose silky, flowy, soft fabrics like satin, silk or polyester. These fabrics not only look fantastic, but they make you feel like a million bucks. Also, they give off a polished look.
- Choose pieces that have details of pajamas: piping, flowy, loose fitting, and an open neckline. Think satin pajama set!
- Pair it with heels. Heels instantly give this trend a chic, classy, spicy vibe and & polished look.
- Accessorize! Just remember to don’t overdo it. A bold pair of earrings, lipstick color, or even shades can do the trick.
Dolls, so what do you think about this trend? Are you going to try it? If so, I’d love to see your pics ?.
