GrateFULL4 – Week Ending 09/16/2017
Hello, beautiful ones! I pray that you’re doing exceedingly well!
I am so GrateFULL4 another opportunity to thank God for blessing my family and me in spite of ourselves! The day that I decided to include the GrateFULL4 on the blog I didn’t realize the impact it would have on me let alone others! I am so humbled to know that my sharing has blessed others to re-think their life and be more grateful for their blessings, large & small. I’m humbled that my GrateFULL4 posts are a source of encouragement to others in the midst of going through a situation. I always tell others that we never know who needs to hear or read our testimony to help them in their walk or to keep on keepin’ on. GrateFULL4 is proof in the pudding!
My purpose for writing & sharing my GrateFULL4 posts on the blog is so that I am more cognizant of what God is doing, what He’s done, and how He is showing up & showing out in my life. The second reason is to open the eyes & hearts of others so that they can see the many blessings in their life despite the hardships they may endure. The third reason is to encourage others to never give up on God or themselves. I pray that my posts bless you and move you to participate in journaling about gratitude as well. If so, please, please leave a comment below or email me at email@example.com; I want to hear from and rejoice with you!
With that said, I know things can get crazy so if you missed my last GrateFULL 4 don’t fret; here it is for your reading pleasure :)
This week I’m GrateFULL4:
- YOU! I am so very GrateFULL4 you! You don’t have to read these posts, but you do. You could be spending your time doing something else. However, you choose to not only read these posts but also to comment and share them with others! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!Truth be told, some days I am so exhausted that it takes every ounce of strength I have and loads of prayer to go on. There are also days that I don’t want to write, think, or even get out of bed. But I make it happen because I truly love what I do and I love my readers. It is because of you that I don’t give up and give in.
- My family & friends are safe! Hurricane Irma pummeled the Caribbean, Florida, Georgia, & South Carolina, In each of these areas I have family & friends with my mother, brothers, oldest daughter & oldest friend in Georgia. My youngest daughter and BFF are in South Carolina, and my boyfriend’s family are in the Bahamas and Florida, and they were directly in the eye of the storm. God saw fit to spare them all from danger and devastation. They lost power for a bit but didn’t have to wait too long for restoration. Not all of my friends were spared, however. We don’t know how our AirBnB host in Cuba is doing so we’re praying for them. Also, one of my other friends is from Anguilla; Irma struck the island hard! Her family is safe, but the rebuilding is going to be tough. If you have it in your heart to give to those affected by both Harvey & Irma, please give to the charity, church, or other organization of your choice. They especially need clothing, non-perishable foods, personal care items, and, of course, money! I know they will be GrateFULL4 whatever you give from the heart! If you need don’t know where to give, here’s a reputable organization: https://www.globalgiving.org/pr…/hurricane-irma-relief-fund/. Also, our family in Houston and surrounding areas are still reeling from Hurricane Harvey. Here’s a link to Global Giving’s page to donate to this relief fund: https://www.globalgiving.org/…/hurricane-harvey-relief-fund/
- Beautiful views & refreshing Caribbean water! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the beach. It is the one place that I feel totally at peace with God. Other than a beautiful patio, balcony, or deck, I can sit for hours doing absolutely nothing as I take in the beauty of God’s creation. I’m in awe at how large, deep, powerful, beautiful, soothing, & dangerous the ocean is and the many animals living beneath the surface. My favorite beaches have blue-green, crystal clear water with a refreshing temperature are in Sarasota, Florida, and in the Caribbean. I got this and more when I visited Cable Beach during a recent vacation to Nassau, Bahamas. It was a vacation that was long overdue, and for ten (10) glorious days, I didn’t stress over the blog or anything else. I am so GrateFULL4 the financial resources and traveling grace & mercy God granted us to indulge in a bit of self-care and relaxation!
- Sarku Japan! My fridge is constantly on empty these days. I need a personal chef and shopper to make sure I eat and have everything I need. Until that happens, I have to figure out how to eat without sacrificing my nutrition too much. I’ve always enjoyed Sarku Japan, but for some reason, I liked it a lot more than I normally do recently. I don’t know why this is the case, but I can tell you the food was yummylicious! I had to stop myself from eating it all despite being thoroughly satisfied. I think it was the freshness of the veggies or maybe it was the seasonings they used to saute the food. Whatever it is, my tummy & I are GrateFULL4 them. Now, if only they would open a store closer to my home!
What are you GrateFULL4? Tell me in the comment section below. I can’t wait to rejoice with you!
