GrateFULL4 – Week Ending 08/19/2017
I can’t tell you how blessed, thankful and GrateFULL4 to be used by the Lord to write another weekly gratitude post. One of the biggest reasons I decided to share these posts on the blog is because I wanted to be more aware of how God is moving in my life. The second reason is to remind others how blessed we all are no matter where we are in life or what may be going on. The third reason is to encourage others by sharing my testimony of how God is moving in my life and that of my family. I pray that my posts bless you and move you to participate in journaling about gratitude as well. If so, please, please leave a comment below or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org; I want to hear from and rejoice with you!
Hello, beautiful ones! I pray that you’re doing exceedingly well!
I’m continually amazed at how blessed I am and how much I have to be GrateFULL4 every week. There are so many days that I am brought to tears because I know I’m so not worthy, yet my Heavenly Father continues to bless me in spite of my sinful self.
God’s grace & mercy has blessed me so greatly. I can’t help but have an attitude of gratitude for all that He’s done, all that He’s doing, and what He’s going to do! Trust me when I tell you that HE IS FAITHFUL and that He will give you the desires of your heart if you avail yourself of Him.
So, what is gratefulness? For me, it means to give thanks for every good, and sometimes bad, thing or experience that I have received. So often we are blessed out of the blue due to someone’s kind regard for us. Other times we’ve put some work in on the back side and never expected a blessing, but because of God’s love for us, He blesses us anyway.
Days, weeks & months go by many times before we take a moment to think about how God has moved in our lives. We take these blessings for granted, and typically only say ‘thank you’ when we realize God saved us from something bad. I don’t want that to be me. Hence, GrateFULL4 is my way of staying ever present of the good and the bad that occurs in my life. I pray that you’ll join me weekly to not only read GrateFULL4 but also to chronicle your gratefulness in some way.
With that said, I know things can get crazy so if you missed last week’s GrateFULL 4 don’t fret; here it is for your reading pleasure :)
This week I’m GrateFULL4:
- Supportive program to aid in pitching to brands successfully! Chic.Classy.Spicy. is a business. Hence, it has to support itself and me one day. One way of doing this is through the affiliate links you see on most of my blog posts. I’d love to partner with brands that are relevant to my readers, speak to my values, and are actively working to improve the lives of women in some shape, fashion or form. I’ve been working with a consultant to assist me in pitching more proficiently to brands and this week I got my 1st ‘yes.’ You have to put yourself out there, ask questions, be curious, and ready to learn to succeed in anything. I’m GrateFULL4 that I am not too prideful to ask for help and that it takes a village to ‘raise’ a business just like kids!
- An opportunity to support another blogger babe! I have been trying to meet this particular blogger, Christianne, Editor of the blog, Simply Christianne, for months. This past Friday she hosted an event at the Banana Republic Factory Store at the Clarksburg Premium Outlet in Clarksburg, MD. We had a blast helping customers find the perfect item. In fact, we met one young lady who was looking for an outfit for her engagement photo shoot. Although I never thought of myself as a stylist, I worked with her along with Christianne, and she loved the outfit I picked for her! Not only did I get to support Christianne, but I also made some wonderful connections that will lead to some fabulous opportunities. I was not in the best of moods that day, but I am GrateFULL4 the mindset to push through even when I don’t want to.
- Groceries! Over the last few months, I’ve been eating out quite a bit because I’ve been so busy trying to get a handle on this blogging lifestyle. It was fun while it lasted, but it was draining my pockets and not good for my health no matter how hard I tried to eat healthily. The funny thing is I wasn’t planning to grocery shop when I went to Target to get hangers. However, I remembered that I didn’t have any breakfast foods for the next day and before I knew it I had a full cart of food! I’m GrateFULL4 for being able to eat at home again!
- Completion of several branding projects! Branding has been top of the mind for me since day one. It’s my goal to make sure that the message my brand sends is consistent, compelling, and clear. Over the last few weeks I’ve worked with some amazing designers to bring my ideas to life, and I can’t wait to reveal them to you. I’m so GrateFULL4 for the opportunity, the ability, and the resources that God made possible to bring these projects to fruition and completion!
What are you GrateFULL4? Tell me in the comment section below. I can’t wait to rejoice with you!
